Gender Statistics Database

Overview

Abstract

The Gender Statistics Database provides a broad overview of statistics on gender as well as information on the various aspects of (in)equality between women and men. These include indicators referred to the EU Strategy for Equality between Women and Men (2010-2015) and the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action on Equality. Moreover, it is possible to access the Gender Equality Index Scores on the same platform. The Index is a composite indicator that measures how far (or close) the EU and its Member States were from achieving complete gender equality in the reference year.
